Why do we cook?
Well I do because for me it's all about giving and sharing, in one word love.
I love to experiment with the flavours and see the look of enjoyment on people's faces when they eat.
I have to confess that a lot of the time, I don't eat what I cook.
Some of it takes so long to make that by the time I sit at the table I have lost my appetite. Still I revel in watching others enjoy what I managed to create most humbly. Im not a chef, not even a cook, I just like to give, I like to share.
And thats what blooging about food is all about too. Sharing this love for giving and appreciating the most important things in life.
So when I saw my 6 year old, patiently and lovingly crushing ameretti biscuits for the Mascarpone cake, I just knew I had achieved something this year. That little bit of love rubbed off on him!
I would like to share my best wishes for a very happy New Year and leave you a taste of some of what I will be publishing...stuff I have cooked over the holidays.
